Swimsuit Models Black Is Beautiful. Quiana Grant is an American model who appeared in the 2008 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. She was featured in a bodypainting layout as a canvas for bodypaint artist Joanne Gair who is in her tenth year of producing bodypaint art for the Swimsuit Issue. Quiana was twenty-six years old with over ten years of modeling experience at the time of the release of her debut in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. She has modelled for GAP (photos by Steven Meisel) and Maybelline ad campaigns as well as done runway work for numerous leading fashion houses and designers such as Karl Lagerfeld, Michael Kors, Anne Klein and Bill Blass. She is represented by IMG in New York, Modelwerk in Germany, City Models in Paris, France as well as Vision Model Management.
Quiana Grant, Swimsuit Models - Eye Candy
While it may have been an accident for Quiana Grant to began modeling, it is quite clear that she definitely has the staying power to excel in the fashion game.
Grant, who is also featured in the latest Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, became a model quite by accident. While hanging out with a friend the then 14-year old young beauty was discovered and soon was in New York meeting top modeling agencies.
You may have seen Grant’s Gap campaign and she has also has hit the runways of Karl Lagerfeld, Michael Kors, Anne Klein and Bill Blass.
But Grant is more than just a pretty face. When her mother contracted a serious eye problem virtually losing all sight, the then 16-year old Grant served as her mother’s eyes for four years while her mother underwent two operations, until they were fully restored. Only then did she take work from editors, designers and photographers who were still clamoring to work with her.
Recently, the exotic beauty has been representing the Maybelline brand to perfection. Her ascension shows that ultimate beauty comes from within.
